Job Description
The High West Events Team is looking to add a creative, enthusiastic and pragmatic individual to fulfill the Social Event Coordinator role. The position is responsible for coordinating and communicating all aspects of our in-house and catered social events. This is a fulltime position and the unique candidate will have the skillset & passion to design, coordinate and produce High West weddings and other social events.
Responsibilities
Assist our social event clients with all their final decisions to create their dream event
o 2 4 months prior to their event, the client relationship will be passed from the Event Sales
Specialist to the Social Event Coordinator
o The Social Event Coordinator will assist the client with:
Event menu creation
Menu tasting and chef consult
Selection of bar menu
Floor plan layout
Timeline of event
Vendor management
Rental plan and ordering rentals
Revision of event contract with updated pricing
o The Social Event Coordinator will assist the High West event, management & service teams with:
Communication of event details with High West team members
Staffing plan
Staffing assignments
Service plan
Buffet layout
Coordination of event setup working directly with event operations team
BEO creation
Day of catering coordination
Submit staff hours & tip report to accounting
Review and approve final invoice
Send final invoice and thank you to client
Follow up with client to ensure payment receipt
Qualifications
1 year experience working in a customer facing position with High West
o Host, server, banquet server, bartender, manager
3 years of Hospitality experience with at least 1 year experience in a management position
Strong interpersonal skills
o Verbal, written, listening & presentation
o Ability to work with a diverse set of team members
o Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of clients
Tech savvy and able to work in new software programs easily
o Required computer skills including: Microsoft word & excel
Passion for hospitality and events with a willingness to do what is needed to produce the best experience for our guests
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to keep a flexible schedule that includes working nights and weekendsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
